Serial Blood Testing

Some animal companions face health challenges that require specialized testing to diagnose disease and monitor disease progression long term.  Rather than having to bring your loved ones to the veterinarian’s office for testing, Dr. April will come to your home and provide the care needed (e.g. low-dose dexamethasone suppression tests (LDDST), ACTH Stimulation tests, bile acids panels, etc). Once test results are available, you will have immediate access to them. Family education is extremely important to the success of managing chronic diseases. Dr. April is there for you, to provide you with clear, detailed explanations of the results, and guidance for continued care of your animal companion. Oftentimes, with in-home teaching, families are able to collect small samples themselves for blood glucose curves in diabetic patients.
