Ultrasound imaging provides an invaluable diagnostic tool for looking at the organs and structures inside your little one’s abdomen, such as the spleen, kidneys, bladder, liver, intestines, stomach, adrenal glands and lymph nodes.  An x-ray is a still photograph, but an ultrasound provides video footage of these organs.

Ultrasounds are usually painless and most patients are able to lie comfortably with minimal restraint during the procedure. Most patients do not need sedation. Almost all little ones can safely undergo an ultrasound, regardless of medical concerns.

Dr. April partners with local veterinary practices to provide digital x-ray services, complete with radiologist review. Dr April personally reviews each image with the patient’s family either in person, via phone or email.
